The role\\r was created in 2016 to oversee the sustainability and usage of our\\r space. Previously the <a href=\\\"space_manager\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\"\\r title=\\\"space manager\\\">space manager</a> was charged with the upkeep of\\r the rooms, but there was not a dedicated position to developing.</p>\\r <h2 id=\\\"previous_projects\\\">Previous Projects</h2>\\r <h3 id=\\\"clubs_hub\\\"><a href=\\\"Clubs_Hub\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\"\\r title=\\\"Clubs Hub\\\">Clubs Hub</a></h3>\\r <p><a href=\\\"Council:2017-01-24\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\"\\r title=\\\"January 24, 2017\\\">January 24, 2017</a>, Jay Han proposed a <a\\r href=\\\"capital_request\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"capital request\\\">capital\\r request</a> to the <a href=\\\"EUS_Council\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\"\\r title=\\\"EUS Council\\\">EUS Council</a> that essentially reorganized the\\r entire <a href=\\\"Clubs_Hub\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"Clubs Hub\\\">Clubs\\r Hub</a>. The space was previously cluttered, inefficient use of space,\\r without enough storage, and more. The proposed redesign included the\\r creation of central work/conference space, lockers for each group's\\r storage (secured) and for shared supplies (unsecured), a wall mounted\\r TV, and all around new furniture.</p>\\r <p> <pdf><a\\r href=\\\"File:ClubsHub_w17.pdf\\\">File:ClubsHub_w17.pdf</a></pdf> </p>\\r <p>Unfortunately once all the purchases were made, it came to light in\\r March of the same year that McGill was going to be installing an\\r elevator in the <a href=\\\"McConnell_Engineering_Building\\\"\\r class=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"McConnell Lobby\\\">McConnell Lobby</a> to make the\\r EngCaf accessible. This drastically shifted the space made available in\\r Clubs Hub, and the project was therefore never fully realized.</p>\\r <h3 id=\\\"common_room\\\"><a href=\\\"Common_Room\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\"\\r title=\\\"Common Room\\\">Common Room</a></h3>\\r <p>The EUS Common Room has always had big plans for it. Beginning at the\\r end of the 2018 Winter Semester, Jay Han, alongside member of the <a\\r href=\\\"BoG\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"board\\\">board</a> Arman Izadi,\\r collaborated to revamp the EUS Common Room. Previous attempts were made\\r at buying chairs, installing a chalk wall, and LEDs to hype the space,\\r to no avail. Han &amp; Izadi focused on making it a space useful outside\\r the weekly <a href=\\\"Blues_Pub\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"Blues Pub\\\">Blues\\r Pub</a>; comfortable for hanging out yet conducive to studying.</p>\\r <p>The full plan was to create a paint job for the space, invest in new\\r furniture and layout, and make the AV equipment and electricity more\\r accessible.\\r <pdf><a\\r href=\\\"File:CommonRoom_w18.pdf\\\">File:CommonRoom_w18.pdf</a></pdf>\\r While some of the furniture was altered during the design process\\r (prices fluctuated), the plan was executed by the start of the Fall 2018\\r semester.
