The Zentyal calendar has an immense amount of features,\\r\\nsporting multiple exportable calendars, reminder features, inviting\\r\\ncontacts and more.</p>\\r\\n<h4 id=\\\"address_book\\\">Address Book</h4>\\r\\n<p>Zentyal includes an address book feature which supports contact\\r\\nimporting and exporting. By default the only emails in the address book\\r\\nare those on the @mcgilleus.ca domain. You can create lists of contacts\\r\\nto quickly send emails to common groups, but beyond that the address\\r\\nbook is pretty vanilla.</p>\\r\\n<h2 id=\\\"forwarding\\\">Forwarding</h2>\\r\\n<p>Forwarding can be controlled through the email portal with little\\r\\nhassle. Follow the steps below to forward your @mcgilleus emails to your\\r\\npersonal email address(es).</p>\\r\\n<h3 id=\\\"external_email_clients\\\">External Email Clients</h3>\\r\\n<p>Zentyal allows alternate email clients to access their emails through\\r\\nthe SMTP protocol. Instructions can be found <a\\r\\nhref=\\\"External_Email_Clients\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\"\\r\\ntitle=\\\"here\\\">here</a>.</p>\\r\\n<h2 id=\\\"future_plans\\\">Future Plans</h2>\\r\\n<p>While Zentyal works well for our current needs, there are alternative\\r\\noptions that could be better. Currently the EUS <a href=\\\"IT_Director\\\"\\r\\nclass=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"IT\\\">IT</a> team is looking into new solutions\\r\\nsuch as migrating to Google or Office365. Both offer more documentation\\r\\nand support than Zentyal, however they are relatively limited in\\r\\nadaptability. Since Zentyal is Linux based the range of possibilities is\\r\\nmore open than a refined flagship like gmail or outlook. One of the\\r\\nlarger and more nuanced concerns which could result in a large impact is\\r\\nthe involvement in IT. Zentyal and linux based servers in general\\r\\nprovides an opportunity for growth in terms of IT for anyone involved.\\r\\nHaving a reliable team for IT can be hugely beneficial, and dumbing down\\r\\nthe portfolio to a catchall email client is another step towards a less\\r\\nindependent team.</p>\\r\\n<h3 id=\\\"google\\\">Google</h3>\\r\\n<p>Google offers one of the easier migrations. Most students are already\\r\\nusing gmail as a client, and the interface is navigatable and well\\r\\nestablished. Since the EUS is a nonforprofit organization, the migration\\r\\nwould be essentially free. Unfortunately google is largely a what you\\r\\nsee is what you get kind of deal, while it offers a powerful email\\r\\nclient there's not much room for growth or input. For example, migration\\r\\nto google would cut off the recursive user accounts on the <a\\r\\nhref=\\\"Infosys\\\" class=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"Infosys network\\\">Infosys\\r\\nnetwork</a> and everything thereafter (e.g. the <a href=\\\"Repository\\\"\\r\\nclass=\\\"wikilink\\\" title=\\\"Repository\\\">Repository</a>).</p>\\r\\n<h3 id=\\\"office365\\\">Office365</h3>\\r\\n<p>There's a better platform for development with Office365, as\\r\\nMicrosoft also offers Windows Servers and more for integration. This\\r\\ndiffers from Gmail in that it offers the possibility for user\\r\\nintegration into the Infosys Network, at a price. The EUS is limited to\\r\\nhow many accounts it can purchase at a reduced cost, and unfortunately\\r\\npurchasing anymore could result in a huge pricetag. We're currently\\r\\nexploring alternative options to purchase more user accounts for less,\\r\\nas Office365 is a viable service that doesn't sacrifice IT\\r\\ninvolvement.</p>\\r\\n<h3 id=\\\"other\\\">Other</h3>\\r\\n<p>Zentyal isn't currently updated to the latest version, as there are\\r\\ncurrently some bandaids over the client that could be ripped off if\\r\\nupgraded. There are other email clients out there, in fact there are\\r\\nalternative open source email clients.</p>\\r\\n\"}]",
