EUS groups had previously hired Voltaic Photographie for\\r most events, so it made sense to bring these expenses under one bulk\\r umbrella so that the EUS can pay cheaper photography rates. The\\r contract, unless otherwise terminated, will be in effect until June 30,\\r 2021.</p>\\r <p><em>NOTE: emails sent from @voltaicphoto.com addresses sometimes end\\r up in @mail.mcgill.ca address' spam folders. If you're wondering why you\\r haven't received a response in a little while, check your spam!</em></p>\\r <h2 id=\\\"basics\\\">Basics</h2>\\r <p>All EUS groups may make use of Voltaic's services, but only some\\r groups are required to do so. Groups fall into two categories:</p>\\r <h3 id=\\\"group_1\\\">Group 1</h3>\\r <dl>\\r <dt>If you hire paid photography services, you must hire Voltaic.</dt></p>\\n<p></dl>\\r <ul>\\r <li>Frosh</li>\\r <li>Fall OAP</li>\\r <li>Fall Iron Ring</li>\\r <li>E-Week</li>\\r <li>Winter Iron Ring</li>\\r <li>OAP Lite</li>\\r <li>Plumber's Ball</li>\\r </ul>\\r <h3 id=\\\"group_2\\\">Group 2</h3>\\r <dl>\\r <dt>You can hire Voltaic for a \\\"preferred\\\" rate. You're allowed to hire\\r a different paid photographer if you wish.</dt></p>\\n<p></dl>\\r <ul>\\r <li>Wine & Cheeses</li>\\r <li>Banquets (175 people or less)</li>\\r <li>Volunteer Banquet (regardless of attendance)</li>\\r <li>CFES Congress 2019</li>\\r <li>McGill Engineering Competition (MEC)</li>\\r </ul>\\r <h2 id=\\\"rates\\\">Rates</h2>\\r <h3 id=\\\"base_rates\\\">Base Rates</h3>\\r <p>All rates do not include tax, but the EUS gets taxes back on\\r expenses, so your group will be charged the pre-tax rate.</p>\\r <ul>\\r <li>$47.50/hour: Frosh</li>\\r <li>$50.00/hour: MEC</li>\\r <li>$52.50/hour: Fall OAP, OAP Lite, E-Week</li>\\r <li>$57.50/hour: Fall Iron Ring, Winter Iron Ring, Volunteer\\r Banquet</li>\\r <li>$62.50/hour: Plumber's Ball, Wine & Cheeses, Banquets (<175\\r people)</li>\\r </ul>\\r <h3 id=\\\"additional_fees\\\">Additional Fees</h3>\\r <h4 id=\\\"booking_time\\\">Booking Time</h4>\\r <p>All bookings must be at least 2.5 hours in length, and in increments\\r of 15 minutes. If the booking is under 3 hours, an additional flat rate\\r of $15.00 will be charged.</p>\\r <p>Bookings must be made at least 72 hours before the event.</p>\\r <h4 id=\\\"transportation\\\">Transportation</h4>\\r <p>If the event is further than 50 kilometres from the EUS office, a\\r transportation rate of $0.40/kilometre will be charged. If Voltaic\\r cannot find free parking at the event, a parking fee of up to $15.00\\r will be charged. Note that on the bill you receive <em>before</em> the\\r event, the parking fee will be indicated. Voltaic will issue you a new\\r bill after the event with the true parking charge (up to $15 max)\\r reflected.</p>\\r <h4 id=\\\"options\\\">Options</h4>\\r <p>Before activating these options, be sure to verify that your event\\r doesn't already have it automatically included (e.g. most non-formal\\r events already have the Photo Voltaic logo removed)</p>\\r <p><em>Remove Voltaic's Logo</em>: +$10.00/hour</p>\\n<p><em>Organizers publish photos independently</em>: +$10.00/hour</p>\\n<p><em>Accelerated service: 3 days</em>: +$17.50/hour</p>\\n<p><em>Accelerated service: 7 days</em>: +$10.00/hour</p>\\n<p><em>Add a sponsor's logo on your pictures</em>: +$10.00/hour</p>\\n<p><em>Photobooth</em>: $650.00 for 2 hours</p>\\r <p>Notice a potential strategy: if you pay the extra $10 (or $20) to add\\r a sponsor's logo (and remove Photo Voltaic's logo), but your sponsorship\\r exceeds this surcharge, this is a profit opportunity!</p>\\r <h3 id=\\\"publication\\\">Publication</h3>\\r <p>Voltaic will publish the photos in the appropriate manner (see below)\\r within 10 days after the end of the event.</p>\\r <h4 id=\\\"non_formal_events\\\">Non-Formal Events</h4>\\r <p>Voltaic's logo will be watermarked in one corner, and the event's\\r logo will be watermarked in the other.</p>\\r <p><em>Frosh, E-Week, Fall OAP, OAP Lite</em>: Voltaic will provide the\\r photos to the organizers, who are free to publish them however they\\r wish.</p>\\n<p><em>Other non-formal events</em>: Photo Voltaic will post the photos on\\r their Facebook page for at least 2 weeks.</p>\\r <h4 id=\\\"formal_events\\\">Formal Events</h4>\\r <p>Photos will be uploaded to <a\\r href=\\\"https://voltaic.zenfolio.com/\\\">Zenfolio</a>, devoid of any logos.\\r The link to the photos can be posted however the organizers wish, and\\r the photos can be viewed and downloaded for free.</p>\\r <h3 id=\\\"special_cases\\\">Special Cases</h3>\\r <p>If multiple student societies collaborate on an event, Photo Voltaic\\r will publish the photos so that everyone can access them in one central\\r location.</p>\\r <p>Photo Voltaic and the organizers may edit the photos so long as the\\r modifications don't degrade the photographer's work. The photos may not\\r be sold for profit without consultation between the parties.
