Quebec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach

The Quebec Confederation for Engineering Student Outreach (QCESO) is a student-run provincial organization with the goal to represent the interests of Quebec's engineering student community. They create opportunities to regroup student societies of faculties and schools offering engineering programs in the province of Quebec. In addition, QCESO ensures that its two major events, the Engineering Games and the Quebec Engineering Competition, remain traditions within the student community. The QCESO is currently presided by Sarah Ghazal, a graduated bioressource engineering student from McGill. =Mandate and Goals= =Regional Meetings= The QCESO hosts 5 meetings per year with the member student societies. The EUS is represented at each of QCESO's congresses by the VP External and the External Affairs Director.

=Events= The concept of their events is to create an environment for engineering students across Quebec to meet each other and to explore outside of their respective campus. Each event is coordinated by a student organizing committee from the engineering faculty of the institution elected by the QCESO. ==Engineering Games== The Quebec Engineering Games (EngGames) started in Laval University in 1990. Since the beginning, it has been an inter-university competition that allows engineering students throughout Quebec to meet each other in a friendly environment. Since its creation, the notoriety of the event has grown steadily in the student community of Quebec. The competitions include sports, academic, improvisation, trivia and design competitions, along with fun activities throughout the nights. Each school sends a delegation of around 40 students and is selected by their respective committees. For EUS, the delegation is formed by the McGill Engineering Games, and also includes bioressource engineering students. ==Quebec Engineering Competition== The Quebec Engineering Competition (QEC) strives to develop the know-how and innovative thinking of future engineers through technical challenges. To qualify for the QEC, students must participate in the MEC.
