This\\r\\nritual is unique to Canada and ceremonies for graduating engineering\\r\\nstudents are held in twenty-five cities from coast to coast. The ritual\\r\\nis controlled and administered by an independent group of engineers,\\r\\n<em><a href=\\\"http://www.ironring.ca/\\\">The Corporation of the Seven\\r\\nWardens</a></em>. Its purpose is to welcome you as a new engineer and to\\r\\nimpress upon you the importance of adhering to a Code of Ethics in your\\r\\nwork as an engineer. <em>In order to obtain an Iron Ring you MUST ATTEND\\r\\na ceremony.</em> However, receiving a ring is voluntary.</p>\\r\\n<p>Ceremonies are held in <a\\r\\nhref=\\\"http://virtualcampustour.mcgill.ca/en/details/64/redpath-hall\\\">Redpath\\r\\nHall</a> and due to the size of the hall, ONLY the receiver of the ring\\r\\nand his/her presenter are permitted at the ceremony. There are NO GUESTS\\r\\npermitted at the ceremony; however, they are invited to attend the Wine\\r\\nand Cheese after the ceremony.</p>\\r\\n<h2 id=\\\"fittings\\\">Fittings</h2>\\r\\n<p>It is the responsibility of graduating students to be fitted for the\\r\\nIron Ring prior to the ceremony.
