While normally one can shuffle ownership via\\r the sharing settings panel, this is not possible across domains, and you\\r will receive the error to the .</p>\\r <p>This is unfortunately one of the setbacks of migrating to Google\\r Apps, our domain is in one way or another a closed environment. However,\\r a workaround has been created and is outlined below.</p>\\r <h2 id=\\\"the_workaround\\\">The Workaround:</h2>\\r <ol>\\r <li>First, share the desired folder with your @mcgilleus.ca account\\r (with full rights).</li>\\r <li>Logout of your personal account and login with your @mcgilleus.ca\\r credentials</li>\\r <li>Load <a\\r href=\\\"https://script.google.com/a/macros/mcgilleus.ca/s/AKfycbzjS8m5Cg6OTcnGaBi1IevR8FkJRI5ZdlUWFsLnSFw5S0s0X9E/exec\\\">this\\r applet</a> and give permissions to access your drive.</li>\\r <li>Select the items you wish to migrate, continue.</li>\\r <li>Wait! <em>It can take anywhere from 5 minutes to a few hours\\r depending on the size of the drive. This will be done in the\\r background.</em></li>\\r <li>You will receive an email confirming the migration has been\\r completed</li>\\r <li><strong>Make sure to unshare the previous folder with\\r everyone</strong>: it has not been deleted, merely copied</li>\\r </ol>\\r <h3 id=\\\"the_drawbacks\\\">The Drawbacks:</h3>\\r <p><em>This is merely a method of copying files</em>. One could\\r alternatively download the files and re-upload them on the @mcgilleus.ca\\r account; this essentially does the same thing. However you do not need a\\r computer constantly running to accomplish the transfer using the above\\r method, nor do you need to reorganize which files are in what\\r folders.</p>\\r <p>What you need to do hereafter is share the folder and it\\u2019s relevant\\r contents to the members who previously used the folder. The transfer\\r will not maintain who the files were shared with and what permissions\\r they have.</p>\\r <p>Additionally, <strong>this will be a duplicate</strong>; the previous\\r files still exist with your old account. Once the transfer has been\\r confirmed by email, delete the previous folder or indicate that it\\r should no longer be used. Otherwise, it\\u2019s likely someone will attempt to\\r work on the previous folder which is no longer synced with the new\\r folder: general confusion ensues.</p>\\r <p><a href=\\\" title=\\\"</a></p>\"}]",
