The position of Information Technology (IT) Director consists of maintaining, coordinating, and improving upon the various technological aspects of the Engineering Undergraduate Society. This includes the , email client, infosys network, and more. McGillEUS Emails

The most common task required of the IT Director is access to an @mcgilleus.ca email address. All EUS organizations are entitled to their very own email address; to request an email address, contact the IT Director. Emails can be accessed through webmail.mcgilleus.ca. The McGillEUS Emails are currently hosted through Zentyal, an open-source Linux based email client. Currently alternative options are being explored to move to a more common service such as Gmail or Outlook, but likely won't be put in place until 2016.

Forwarding

Forwarding can be controlled through the email portal with little hassle. Follow the steps below to forward your @mcgilleus emails to your personal email address.

  1. Log in to the portal
  2. Navigate to the gear symbol
  3. Click on the forwarding tab
  4. Enter in your e-mail address(es) you'd like to forward to

Responding using Gmail

Forwarding emails is a one way street, but thanks to the SMTP protocol you can also send emails through other clients.
