TeN

The Engineering Network (TeN), is a digital signage system used to display content on a collection of displays located throughout the engineering buildings at McGill. Physically, the clients consist of flat panel displays connected to diskless computers, network-booted using PXE and TFTP (to load the Linux kernel) with NFS (to provide the root filesystem, containing the display system software). Posting content is performed via the TeN administration interface, a website existing on the TeN server, located at ten.mcgilleus.ca. Otherwise, slides can be posted by sending an e-mail to ten@mcgilleus.ca.
