Usually there are x2 financial officers per group, most commonly the VP Finance and President/chair equivalent; this role could be endowed to anyone, granted it does not contradict the [[Financial Bylaws]] or other governing docs.
 
Financial officers are expected to :
* Maintain the [[internal records]] of the group
* Ensure the financial wellbeing of the group
* Approve the groups' [[cheque Requisitions]]
* Approve [[Internal Transfers]]
 
In order to become an official Financial Officer, one must read and retain the [[Financial Guidebook]], sign the approved list of financial officers (held by the EUS [[VP Finance]]), and pass a quick quiz ''annually'' (if relevant).
